That's a really good question.
Here's the answer. You can now find me and all my ramblings ... are you ready for this?

I've moved!
tomorrow
today!
even though it was a rainy, cloudy weekend, we still had lots of fun with jason's mom being here.
hope your weekend was fun too.
{be on the look out for changes coming to this blog.}
Abigail:: "Mom, you need to send Ash to listening school. Really, you should send her."
Abigail:: "She didn't come mom, my teeth are still under my pillow."
I'm not sure how this happened, but look at Ash, that might just say it all.
My little sister turned 30! Happy Birthday, Ann!!
Jason and I had a date night.
We've gone on many a walk with Jake around the subdivision.
The kids got to play with their cousins all week.
When I was reading a book to Ash about a cowgirl going out and sleeping with her horse in the barn Ash said, "Mom, they forgot to say their prayers."
I even started and finished a book, The Kite Runner.
I'm looking forward to week 2 of summer vacation!
Here's Abigail this morning before the dentist ...
and here she is after ...
Her little front teeth have been loose for awhile now. We bribed her with everything to try and get her to pull them out or let us, but that didn't work. Then, I noticed that her adult tooth had already broke through and was coming in behind her baby snaggletooth. I gave her a little more time to try and get it out on it's own, but no such luck.
So today, with the help of some laughing gas and numbing medicine, out came her 2 front teeth.
Hurray!
I just love her cute new smile.
... happened to be the 1st day of summer vacation for us.
Melissa and I thought the only way to celebrate school being out for summer was to have a party and so ... that's just what we did.
Here's the invitations the kids gave to their school friends.
When the kids 1st arrived they each picked out a lei to wear.
We had a slip-n-side, hundreds of water balloons and water guns.
For snacks we made p&j sandwiches, set out bowls of chips, put umbrellas with a cherry and straw in each kids cup of kool-aid and brought out these fun cupcakes at the end.
The sun came out and the party was a hit.
Friday morning Abigail woke up, jumped out of bed and said, "oh yeah, today is my graduation!"
We all (Aunt Annie too) got ready and headed off to the school bright and early to watch the kindergarten program and graduation.
It was a cute program. They sang, What a Wonderful World, and you couldn't help but tear up. Especially when Abigail said I love you and pointed right over to us.
Our girl is growing up so fast. The year just flew by. I am afraid summer will be over in a blink and then we'll have a 1st grader.
After the graduation they had an ice cream social and then it was time to pick up her things from Mrs Hartzmann. Her teacher put together some really cute keepsakes. One book goes month by month, adding what they might have worked on and a class picture that was taken. (this made me feel better about throwing away all her other papers.) She also put together a binder of all the writing Abigail did during the year. It's fun to see how far she's come in her writing, from one to two words to complete sentences and then multiple sentences.
We're looking forward to our summer and all we have planned. The girls are kicking it off right and sleeping in.
Happy Summer Vacation!
So, happy it's Friday. Happy Jason has the weekend off. Happy that after today Abigail only has 4 more day of school and then it's summer vacation.
Okay, maybe it's more like end of May fever!
This week we've finished up TBall. Abigail did great this year. She was hitting the ball harder, learned how important it is to run fast, would sometimes even stay in position instead of chasing after the ball that 5 other kids were after too and felt how great it is when you beat the runner to 1st and get them out.
We've been doing a lot of training with Jake. One of the reason Jason said yes to us getting a dog was so that he could have a hunting buddy. This week I've been reading the book, Gun Dog, and even watched a video on training puppies to retrieve birds. I think it's really going to pay off that we started him so young.
Ash has been getting herself completely ready in the mornings ... picking out her clothes, brushing her teeth, fixing her hair and putting on her socks and shoes. It's so cute!
We picked up the kids (Clay and Sis) from school one day this week. My girls love having their cousins to play with. I love it too.
We went and watched Cody's last baseball game and stopped for milkshakes on the way home.
I've made a couple of invitations. Can't wait for the fun parties coming up!
We brought out the kiddie pool for the girls to play in and ended up throwing it away. That little Jake, gotta love him.
Today, I've got to get some cleaning done, might be taking Ash to the doctor (she really does have Friday fever) and need to firm up our weekend plans.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy Memorial Weekend!
I just love, love this dog.
You can see why, right?
I love seeing this little ball of fur lying at the back door or passed out in the shade of the trees in the backyard.
I love how he wakes up in the morning, sits at the back door and waits for you to come and love on him.
I love his soft fur and sweet eyes.
I love his playfulness.
I love how well he's doing with his basic obedience training.
Somehow I even love the ratty-tatty look of the bushes out back that he's chewed on.
I love walking through the back yard and seeing him waiting for us to come and play.
I know I've said it a lot but it's so true ... I just love him so much.
I've turned into one of those dog owners. The dog owner who thinks of their dog as their kid. I didn't think I'd be this way, but I am.
He's my little guy, my Jake.
My talented friend Andrea came out last week for a play date and got some cute pictures of Jake and the girls. Here's just a few of them, I'll put the others in a photo album on the side. Thanks again pal!
It's true puppy love!
Nope, not today.
Today, she's a big 1st grader.
She gets to ... do 1st grader work, have more recesses, eat hot lunch and be a pick-up.
The girl is so excited! Her mom, well, I'm not going to go there. It's just one day and then my little kindergartner will be back, for at least 9 more school days until it's completely official, and I'll take it. I'll hold on to whatever I have left. Plus, I have all summer before I really have to think about it, right? Right.
P.S. I'm really going to miss her.
