I just love, love this dog.
You can see why, right?
I love seeing this little ball of fur lying at the back door or passed out in the shade of the trees in the backyard.
I love how he wakes up in the morning, sits at the back door and waits for you to come and love on him.
I love his soft fur and sweet eyes.
I love his playfulness.
I love how well he's doing with his basic obedience training.
Somehow I even love the ratty-tatty look of the bushes out back that he's chewed on.
I love walking through the back yard and seeing him waiting for us to come and play.
I know I've said it a lot but it's so true ... I just love him so much.
I've turned into one of those dog owners. The dog owner who thinks of their dog as their kid. I didn't think I'd be this way, but I am.
He's my little guy, my Jake.
My talented friend Andrea came out last week for a play date and got some cute pictures of Jake and the girls. Here's just a few of them, I'll put the others in a photo album on the side. Thanks again pal!
It's true puppy love!
So sweet ...
I think I love the pictures more than the real thing, but someday we too will be those people. I picture Ethan being much like Abigail and becoming quite attached to a pup.
Love the picture with the three of you in the background ... you should frame that one and put it in the girls' rooms :).
Happy Weekend!

I had no idea that you loved that dog so much, it's not like I hear those words out of your mouth at least three times each day. Jake is truly a loved part of the Hoodenpyle family! You seriously love the look of the ratty tatty bushes, you are too funny! He is a cutie and we love him over here too, especially his best girl Ruby!

The wonderful thing about a dog is that they love us unconditionally. They don't care how much work we got done, how clean our house is or how we look. They just love to be with us and make us smile. There are days when Sadie is my best friend. She's a great stress reliever. She just looks at me with those big droopy eyes (it's a basset hound thing), gives me a nudge to be pet, and somehow tells me that all is well. I think the Lord can comfort us and bring us joy through our dogs. Jake is too cute for words. Enjoy!!
